Safety Guideline

Sleepi Spaces moses bassinets and stands are manufactured to meet ‘Child care articles- Carry cots and stands – Safety requirement and test methods’ BS EN 1466:2004 + A1:2007. This is a British Standard.
The Australian Standards do not have their own guidelines and regulations to meet the specifications of a Moses Basket. Australian Standards advises Australian Manufacturers and/or importers of Moses Baskets to follow the British Standards.

Moses Baskets have long been used throughout the UK and Europe and their standards stringently tested.
Sleepi Spaces issues ‘Instructions for Safe Use’ with every basket sold.

Please keep out of direct heat or damp conditions. Always place basket on a level flat surface, securely out of reach of children. 

Liners are custom made in Australia to fit Sleepi Spaces Moses Baskets. Replacement mattress should comply with BS 1877 and BS 7177. If a mattress is purchased separately it must fit snugly into the base of the basket when it is fitted.

When covering the mattress with the sheet, ensure that all edges of the sheet wrap around the sides to the underside of the mattress. Sheet must fit properly and not be loose. Being loose can pose a danger to your baby. You should never cover the mattress with plastic, plastic bags or similar.

Fall Hazard – To help prevent falls, do not use this product when infant begins to push up on hands and knees or has reached manufacturers recommended weight, whichever comes first. For use until your baby is 3-5 months old, 7.3kgs OR when Baby can push up, roll over, or crawl – whichever comes first.
